Yeah, I'm a Moody Blues kinda mood tonight. And that said, I still miss Kitty, and I always will.

It was exactly a year ago that she came home from the horse-pistol, after a two-week stay for heart problems. And four months later...well...disbelief

Makes me wonder where we'll all be next year...or even in four months...will we even have more birthdays?  We'd better enjoy every minute. Who can tell how few we have left? no

 Jennifer on My Mind (1971)

Poster for some POS from 1971...by Erich Segal (ugh)...about rich druggie burnouts.

It'll be on TCM at 3:45 AM Eastern (2:45 Central) on Saturday morning, April 4th.

Not gonna bother with it...terrible IMDb reviews...sounds mostly unwatchable...

I'll be back here to this topic tomorrow to say I told you so. Unless one of you kills yourself just to prove me wrong.

Tomorrow doesn't mean today. Tomorrow means...well...next month...next year...five years. Jury is still out on that.

Actually, no jury at all. I was scheduled for jury duty this week. Nope. Not gonna happen. No jury trials until further notice.

So all the poor shmucks awaiting jury trials will rot in jail for months. Hope they get credit for time served if they do get convicted.

I know, but that's not as funny.

One of my friends was called for jury duty too. Do they really have to sit around and wait?

Normally, yes. You get paid by the day for doing it, but it's peanuts. Here it comes out to maybe thirty bucks a day or something like that.

I only got to do it once in all my years in Chicago, just before I moved to Ohio. My boss was pissed that I wasn't at work...and I worked for a LAWYER. Seriously.

So what happens? I've been called at least THREE times in my 27 years here, maybe four. I've lost count. Go figure. I got called way more than Lucinda did.

I had to serve on ONE jury. These very wealthy Arab scammers, from Kuwait, had a car dealership. They were ripping off wealthy immigrants, also from Kuwait.

They were really lowlife douchebags. Took us about an hour to find them guilty. The judge fined them or something or awarded somebody money. No prison time.

That was in 1997, so I don't remember all the details anymore. Two rich families were involved. They were almost like tribes, or Mafia families.

When the trial ended, there was a fistfight in the courtroom and the sheriff's deputies had to break it up. Way more fun than hearing four days of testimony.

I am glad I didn't have to go downtown this year...I really didn't want to be around all those people. If they call me again and I'm at least 75, I don't have to go.

That's assuming I am still alive at 75. These days, that's assuming a lot.

Oh, I meant the people awaiting trials. I've done jury duty before. It was awful.

I did manage to watch this movie after all. Even the on-location scenes in Venice were excruciatingly awful. It was much worse than I expected.

Unless you like watching early-Seventies rich hippie chicks OD on smack, and die in the arms of their worthless Jewish boyfriends.

The rich weenie didn't even try to get her any help or into rehab. Nothing. He just gave her a shot to "calm her down." She did. For good.

Four hilarious minutes of a young (28) Robert De Niro (as a hippie taxi driver) could not save this POS. Whatta turkey. Zero stars.

The woman who played Jennifer was so embarrassd by this cinematic abortion that she quit the business, and never appeared on-screen again.
