Looks like I'll have to swap out my Biden bumper sticker for a Klobuchar sticker.

Joe wasn't my favorite in the primary race, but I was willing to give him my primary vote if he had enough support and had the best chance of beating Trump.  It doesn't appear to be happening, so I will go to my real favorite, who is gaining momentum, Amy Klobuchar.  Sanders is too far left, Pete is too young and I don't think either has a good chance of beating Trump.  I don't know if Kobuchar can beat Trump either in the General, but I would love to see her debate Trump, at least that would be good entertainment as she slices and dices him.

Joe was the only one who had a good shot at beating Orange Julius. We are toast. Burnt toast.
I am sad and sick over what has happened in the last few weeks. Pass me the vomit bag.

Then let me get some sleep, and wake me when it's over, after Crazy Uncle Bernie has been shredded.
Wake me up a year from today, three weeks after the Orange King's coronation.
Everyone will be over all the hoo-ha and the weeping and wailing will have died away.

And so will democracy in America. Daily life will go on, just as it did for the average German.
Human beings can adapt to almost anything. Even being burnt toast.

Charlie

Voting is easy. Working for a losing cause when it's truly a lost cause...that's hard. I keep telling myself I'll work for whoever ends up as the nominee.

But my heart won't be in it. And if my heart isn't in it, then it's time to get my ass out...or not sign up at all. I'm too old for this shit. Three campaigns are already enough.

Weathermen is the plural of Weatherman. Yeah, it would be a show all right. Lots of things going POOF and BOOM.

By the way, Jane Fonda is going to show up at the Kent State 50th in May. They'll need medical detectors and fencing now. Stupid assholes.

Guaranteed to bring the seventysomething geezer Vietnam vets and the old hippies together...so they can once again beat the shit out of each other.

(Just like at Gettysburg in 1913, when old Yanks and old Rebs duked it out during some of the re-enactments. True story.)

Luckily, she'll be there on the 3rd. Now I'll definitely delay my attendance until the 4th. What clown thought this shit up?

Charlie

Edited to add: What I just wrote made me recall a long-ago (c. 2000) poster from the long-ago boards whose name was Old Reb. Do you remember him?
