His 13 year old daughter Gianna and three others were also killed in the crash. I'm not a team sports fan but this is pretty sad.

 They're both dead. The daughter's death was a tragedy for sure.

I do not follow sports either. But still its very sad.

Not a sports fan either, especially not basketball, but wow, what a tragedy. I'm so sorry for the loss of life for everyone onboard, for their friends, their families, their fans. This touches so many people in a profound way, it made me cry when I heard about it.

His daughter wasn't the only young person onboard, I think it was a friend of hers who was also killed. Just horrible.

LeBron was 18 when he started playing pro basketball, but Kobe began at 17, the youngest ever. Played twenty seasons. He was just 41. cry [sniff]

I heard they had no idea they were going to crash because it was so foggy and they probably died instantly. It's some consolation that at least they didn't suffer.
