Sad loss.

His book "Chaucer's knight was a great read. It tended to labour the point a bit but it was packed with information.

Wow.

My parents are gone, most of their generation is gone, and now the older boomers (though Terry was a few years shy of being boomer) are leaving us.

I've decided I will not let this get me down. I let it get to me when Bowie died, but I won't do that anymore. Yes, it would be nice for good people to stick around longer, but if one makes it to late 70s that's not doing too badly, especially if it was a life well-lived. 80+ is gravy unless you're stuck in a nursing home hooked up to tubes or living out on the street.

So R.I.P. Terry. I won't be sad, but you will be remembered.

Agreed. Terry, thanks for all the laughs. That's how I will remember you.
