Damn right I do...that was years ago...and the FIRST time I ever heard about that scam. There are still a lot of chumps out there, because it's been dusted off and is being used all over again.

I was recently telling Lucinda about that incident, and how I realized right away that it was bogus, because you never go anywhere. I remember saying I had a hard time believing you'd even go to NEW London (Wisconsin) for free beer.

TV news outlets, both local and network, having been warning geezers about the "Grandparent Scam" for several years now. Hackers build up a dossier on suckers, to make their scam calls more believable.

I'd love to get one, so I could say: "Tell that motherfucker to kiss my ass, because he hasn't bothered to talk to me for the last twenty years! Piss on him and piss on you, asshole!" Then...the referee's whistle!
