Hey There Everyone!  Happy Early Turkey Day.

I want to shout out to any Rolling Stones fans.  I have a huge collection of books and stuff about the band that Kitty collected.  I'm desperately trying to clean out and re organize the place. Would love to gift this collection to anyone that loved Kitty and the Stones.   Personally, I think she and Mick had a little thing she would never speak of it but would smile wickedly to herself when the topic was brought up.

All the best Krysy Biggerstaff

Hi, and thank you for thinking of us! I think we are all well aware of Kitty's love for the Stones. I'm sure there will be plenty of people by soon enough to take you up on that offer!

Happy Turkey Day to you too!

It is really good to see you again Krysy. I love the  Rolling Stones. I never got a chance to see them at a concert or anything. but I am not complaining.smile Your mum and I met on the Mystery Boards in the lounge  back in November of 1998. And then later when she put up her own board. She had such a clever wit. We pretty much got to know each other from then on.

All the best to you always and Happy Thanksgiving to you,

Uni

I like the Stones but I liked your mom more. I don't have room to display an entire collection but if you see a particular item that you think had special meaning to Kitty I would give it a place of honor in my home.

Nah...Dan Fan since '78 here...as in Steely Dan. I LIKE the Stones, but I never saw them play. It was Beatles, folk, and acid-rock for me...back in the day.

Steely Dan is in my top 10 favorites.

In no particular order except for The Mothers which will always be #1

The Mothers of Invention

Jethro Tull

The Moody Blues

Emerson Lake & Palmer

The Rolling Stones

Steely Dan

The Guess Who

The Animals

(early) Black Sabbath

The Beatles

Late Black Sabbath is good too. Dio was fun. Also, where are The Kinks on your list? They are clearly superior to all the bands you listed. evileye

You think The Kinks are superior to The Mothers of Invention? Nothing is superior to The Mothers.

 Absolutely.  The Kinks are legendary.

The Mothers of Invention were good no doubt, but there were many bands superior to them. The Kinks being one of them for sure.

(To be fair though, I was wrong when I said The Kinks were superior to every band in your list. You can't really logically say anything is superior to The Beatles due to their unparalleled influence on music, history, and culture.)

It can be your favorite band and there still be bands objectively better than them, lol.

I would wake up every morning in '68-'69 and play both sides before walking up the hill to the camp-puss. Cheezus Chrysler...that was FIFTY YEARS AGO!
